The origin story

Since 2017, we've been on one mission: kill the dumb home.

Home-A-Genius was founded to fix a very Singaporean annoyance: switches you have to walk to, apps that need five different logins, and "smart" gadgets that stop working the moment the wifi hiccups. Nine years and a few thousand homes later, we're still local-first, still Singaporean-run, and still mildly obsessed with not making you pay a monthly fee to dim your own bedroom.

Nine years, zero boring meetings

The signal, over time

2017 — Home-A-Genius is founded. Mission: end the dumb home.
2018 — First office, first showroom open their doors.
2019 — Sense Switch launches. CNA and 938LIVE start calling us for smart-home takes.
2020 — Smarter Switch ships. Circuit breaker hits, and we build the Smart Floorplan tool from our kitchen table.
2021–22 — Outgrow showroom #2, move into showroom #3 + office at Tampines North. Team hits 13 humans.
2023 — Become an official Philips Hue & Schneider Wiser partner. HAG Hub 2.0 goes out the door.
2026 — MomoCat joins the crew, fronting our TikTok from day one.
2026 — HAG AI V2 ships: a rule engine that runs fully offline. No cloud, no drama.
2026 — Door Camera PRO, Entertainment Series lighting, and Bindable Wireless Switches roll out.
2026–27 — HAG Sensors, then Matter Controller + Multi-Hub, close out the year.

British Shorthair. Zero technical skills. Infinite main-character energy. Momo joined the team in 2026 to front our TikTok — mostly by sitting near the lighting demos and looking unbothered under six different colour temperatures.
