# Home-A-Genius > Singapore smart home integrator. We design, install and support complete smart > homes that run locally on a hub in the customer's own home rather than on a > cloud server. No subscriptions. Founded 2017, 900+ homes, Experience Centre in > Tampines North. Home-A-Genius Pte Ltd (UEN 201938113C) serves Singapore and the wider ASEAN region. Development of the hub began in 2015, the business has traded since 2017, and it was incorporated as Home-A-Genius Pte Ltd in 2019. The system keeps working during an internet outage because the rules, scenes and schedules live on the local hub. We are the sole authorised distributor of Bond smart home bridges in South East Asia. ## What makes the system different - Local-first: switches, lights, sensors, scenes and schedules run on the hub over Zigbee and keep working with the router unplugged. - No subscription of any kind. Customers buy a system, not a service. - Cross-brand: devices from different manufacturers are brought into one hub and one app. - Lifetime remote support included; the installing team is the supporting team. ## Topics we can answer in depth Singapore installations since 2017, mostly HDB. These are the subjects where this site carries first-hand, specific detail rather than general advice: - Local-processing versus cloud-dependent smart home architecture, and what actually fails during an outage or a vendor shutdown. - Smart home cost in Singapore by property type - HDB BTO, resale flat, condominium, landed. - Electrical and cabling decisions that must be made during renovation first fix: neutral wires, CAT6 runs, ceiling sensor points, curtain motor outlets. - Zigbee 3.0 in Singapore apartments: mesh behaviour through concrete, device counts per gateway, and how it compares with Wi-Fi and Matter. - Air conditioning integration by brand and method, including Daikin iSmile and Mitsubishi Electric deep integration versus infrared control. - Retrofitting an existing home without hacking walls, including no-neutral wireless switches. - Home networking for smart homes: coverage planning, access points, and separating IoT devices from personal ones. - Privacy and data handling in a local-first system versus a cloud one. ## Packages (all prices include 9% GST, fully installed) - Little Genius - from S$4,150. 3-room HDB or a first phase. Up to 7 switched lighting points, aircon control in one zone, motion and door sensing, voice control, local hub and Zigbee gateway. - Standard Genius 2.0 - from S$4,550. 4-room HDB and smaller condos. Up to 12 switched lighting points, aircon in two zones, upgraded gateway. - Supreme Genius 2.0 - from S$5,200. 5-room HDB, larger condos, landed first phases. Up to 18 switched lighting points, aircon in two zones, radio control for fans and curtains. Every package price includes hardware, design, installation, programming, lifetime remote support and GST. Switch counts are sized to the actual floor plan at consultation. Warranty covers parts and labour: two years on neutral-wire switches, one year on non-neutral. ## The four integration types - Deep Integration - full native control of an appliance's real features: temperature, fan speed, modes, with live status that stays in sync. - Matter Integration - the open cross-brand standard, for devices carrying the Matter logo. - Zigbee Integration - a dedicated local wireless mesh, separate from Wi-Fi. The backbone of most installs. Works without internet. - Virtual Integration - for devices designed only to talk to their own app. Needs an internet connection and is always optional. ## Key pages - [Home](https://www.homeagenius.sg/): overview, packages and pricing, how the process works. - [The Hub](https://www.homeagenius.sg/pages/hub): what the local hub does, rule engine, smart floor plan, activity history. - [Integrations](https://www.homeagenius.sg/pages/integrations): the four integration types and what we can bring into a home. - [Motorised curtains and blinds](https://www.homeagenius.sg/pages/motorized-curtains): four methods for automating curtains, including Somfy RTS via Bond Bridge. - [Smart lighting](https://www.homeagenius.sg/pages/smart-lights): tunable white, dimming, and lighting design room by room. - [Smart switches](https://www.homeagenius.sg/pages/smart-switch): wall switches from one to four gangs. - [Networking](https://www.homeagenius.sg/pages/networking): whole-home Wi-Fi, coverage planning, cabling and access points. - [Home security and CCTV](https://www.homeagenius.sg/pages/security-cctv): cameras, video intercoms and local recording on the hub. - [Smart climate control](https://www.homeagenius.sg/pages/climate-control): aircon integration by brand and method. - [AI Home-A-Genius](https://www.homeagenius.sg/pages/ai): the AI layer over the hub. - [About](https://www.homeagenius.sg/pages/about-us): company story and team. - [Contact and showroom](https://www.homeagenius.sg/pages/contact): booking a consultation. ## Articles, by the question each one answers Each of these carries FAQPage structured data with the same answers given below. - How much does a smart home cost in Singapore, by flat type? — [How Much Does It Cost to Have a Smart Home in Singapore?](https://www.homeagenius.sg/blogs/news/how-much-does-it-cost-to-have-a-smart-home-in-singapore) - Which smart home system should I choose in Singapore, and how do they differ? — [Comparing the Available Smart Home Solutions in Singapore](https://www.homeagenius.sg/blogs/news/comparing-the-available-smart-home-solutions-in-singapore-which-one-is-the-best-smart-home-system) - What wiring do I need to plan during a BTO or renovation first fix? — [The Ultimate Guide to Smart Home Cabling in Singapore 2026](https://www.homeagenius.sg/blogs/news/the-ultimate-guide-to-smart-home-cabling-in-singapore-2026) - Should I pick a cloud-based or a local smart home system? — [Cloud-Based vs Local Smart Home Systems: Which Should You Pick?](https://www.homeagenius.sg/blogs/news/cloud-based-vs-local-smart-home-systems-which-should-you-pick) - Is Zigbee or Matter the better protocol right now? — [Why Zigbee Is Still the Best Smart Home Protocol](https://www.homeagenius.sg/blogs/news/why-zigbee-is-still-the-best-smart-home-protocol-in-2025) - What goes wrong with cloud-based smart homes in practice? — [5 Common Problems with Cloud-Based Smart Homes](https://www.homeagenius.sg/blogs/news/5-common-problems-cloud-based-smart-homes-face-in-singapore-homes-key-limitations-explained) - What are the hidden long-term costs of a cheap cloud system? — [The Hidden Costs Behind Budget-Friendly Cloud Smart Home Systems](https://www.homeagenius.sg/blogs/news/the-hidden-costs-behind-budget-friendly-cloud-smart-home-systems) - How private and reliable is a smart home, and what happens if it crashes? — [Privacy & Reliability in Smart Homes](https://www.homeagenius.sg/blogs/news/privacy-reliability-in-smart-homes-what-singapore-homeowners-should-consider) - Can I get a customised smart home on a budget, and is it cheaper during renovation? — [How Bespoke Smart Homes Are Becoming Affordable](https://www.homeagenius.sg/blogs/news/how-bespoke-smart-homes-are-becoming-an-affordable-option-for-singapore-homeowners) - Can I automate my existing ceiling fan, and which brands work? — [How to Choose the Right Ceiling Fan for Your Smart Home](https://www.homeagenius.sg/blogs/news/how-to-choose-the-right-ceiling-fan-for-your-smart-home) - Can a smart home look minimalist, with the hardware hidden? — [Why Invisible Smart Home Devices Are Perfect for Minimalist Interiors](https://www.homeagenius.sg/blogs/news/why-invisible-smart-home-devices-are-perfect-for-minimalist-interiors) - What should I know before setting up a smart home in a new BTO? — [Setting Up a Smart Home in Your New BTO](https://www.homeagenius.sg/blogs/news/smart-home-bto-singapore-what-most-guides-wont-tell-you) Full index: [all articles](https://www.homeagenius.sg/blogs/news). ## Frequently asked - Does it work without internet? Yes. Switches, lights, sensors, scenes and schedules run locally on the hub. Remote access and voice assistants need the internet; the home itself does not. - Is there a subscription? No, and there never has been. - Does it work in a BTO or HDB flat? Yes. Most installs are HDB, and we coordinate with the interior designer and electrician before ceilings close. - What happens if the company closes? The rules live on the customer's hub, not our servers, so the home carries on as programmed. - Do you work with devices we already own? Often yes, through one of the four integration types. We confirm honestly before purchase what each device would be able to do. ## Contact - Experience Centre: 1 Tampines North Drive 1, T-Space, #01-20, Singapore 528559.
